Korean Style Steak

We enjoy a good steak in our house every now and then. This marinade will be a staple, I think it would work great for chicken as well.

I'm not the steak griller in the house, I usually leave that up to my hubby, but he wasn't home, so it was all on me, plus it was too cold and rainy and I didn't want to be outside grilling. So I pulled out my old trusty George Foreman Grill, and over cooked me steak :(  Next time I'll leave the grilling up to my husband :)

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 pounds steak of choice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Pinch of pepper

Whisk together the marinade. Place the marinade and steak in a ziploc bag and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, up to 8 hours. The longer the better!

Pre-heat grill to medium-heat. Remove meat from marinade and grill to your liking.

While steak is grilling, pour the leftover marinade into a small saucepan and bring to a boil, simmer for 3 minutes.

Serve the grilled steak with the sauce and grilled veggies.

  1. I really like this. I love asian sauce includes rice wine vigegar, soy sauce, etc. This look delicious. Is there a sugar or brown sugar on the picture because I do not see it written under 'ingredients'
    Pinning it.
