Organize Your Mind & Life Visions

YEA! Welcome to week 1 of my Let's Get Organized Now Series!

I'm super excited about this, this is exactly what I'm needing! And from hearing from some of you, you need it too :)

So for those of you who don't know, I'm working my way through this book called Organize Now! by Jennifer Ford Berry.

This weeks task is to Organize Your Mind & Life Visions!

I never really thought about how important it is to Organize yourself before you start on all your "things!" But it makes total sense to start with yourself! That's what this week focuses on, where do you see yourself? What do we need to do to better ourselves?

We have 12 goals for the week, but I'm only going to share a few with you! You have to buy her book to get the most out of this :)

Get at least 7 hours sleep at night: haha yea if I'm lucky I get 7 hours! I'm lucky that both my kids (most of the time) sleep all through the night, but I have issues shutting my brain off at night to sleep! I also find that here lately I'm staying up later than normal, and still getting up early...like around 6. If I actually slept the whole time I was in bed, I'd get at least 7 hours! I need to work on a strict bedtime for myself!

Start your day writing a to-do list: Easy enough...right!? She reccomends you get everything you want to get done that on paper, and it will help declutter your mind for the day, so you don't have to remember!

Two-Minute Breaks: Jennifer reccomends you plan out two to three two-minute breaks through out the day. I could plan out the breaks, but it will be hard to have them alone and just be like she encourages! But sitting down and having a cup of tea and a snack always sound wonderful :)

Schedule "me time": I already do this! I like to enjoy a hot bath after the kids are in bed for the night! I don't have one every night, but I try to as often as possible!

Schedule time to Exercise: I know I need to plan out my exercise! I'm horrible about it. But I'm going to sit down and put it in my calander! Exercise is so good for you for so many reasons!

So there you have it!
A few things to get your started with week 1!

I'd love to read about how you're doing...so please share!!

Next week, we are moving onto our Priorities!

Now...onto the fun stuff...the winner of the Organize Now! Book is....
 Kathy Cripps Gossen

CONGRATULATIONS!!
I hope you'll love this book as much as I do I'm sure of it!

  1. Sounds great! I just try to make it through the day and have everyone alive on the other side. Is that not the goal?? I guess I need to set my sights a little higher. Isn't it funny that my big whirlpool soaking tub is next to my son's room so I can't use it after he goes to bed because it is too noisy? I think that we should have a sign that says mom is on a 2 minute break, come back when it is over. It would be great!!! I can't wait to find out how it works and I just might have to check out the book too!

I've been keeping a to-do list ever since I can remember. I really need to otherwise I am sure to forget important things that I have to accomplish for the day. :)

  6. {Melinda} This is wonderful. For me, getting all the clutter out of my brain onto paper and taking some "me" time regularly are the keys to my sanity!
