DON'T MISS A SMOOTHIE!
Today I'd like to share with you my favorite Protein Smoothie. I'm trying to eat healthier, and this is my smoothie of choice right now!
I have a feeling I'll be making smoothies ALL the time, especially with the summer weather. I love that smoothies are a great healthy meal, but they also have very little prep and clean-up time.
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk (I prefer almond milk, or almond coconut milk)
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 frozen banana
- 2 scoops strawberry protein powder (here's what I use)
Directions
Add everything to the blender and blend until smooth. Depending on how thick you like it, you may want to add more milk to thin it a little. ENJOY!
Quick Cleaning Tip:
Wash your blender right away! This will keep the smoothie from drying and hardening on to the blender!
What's your favorite smoothie?
I'm always on the look out for new smoothie flavors to try!!

I have a smoothie every morning :) Usually with some spinach and whatever fruit I have and chia seeds. Yum. Definitely good tip about washing the blender right away! I just got a NutriBullet and love it.
ReplyDeleteI've have yet to get brave enough to add anything 'green' to my smoothies :) But I'm going to give it a try at some point! But the chia seeds is a great idea! I love them!!
ReplyDeleteYummy! This looks so good and healthy - perfect for a hot summer day. Thanks for sharing it with us this week!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ruth!! It really is super Yummy!!!

This sounds SO yummy! I am a huge smoothie fan, I gotta get me some vanilla protein so I can try this!! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBest,
Jen @ Yummy Healthy Easy
You have to give it a try :) It's great!
DeleteYummy! I have not seen the almond coconut milk before! I bet it is really good in the smoothie!
ReplyDeleteThe only place I have found the Almond Coconut Milk is at Safeway...but granted...I have VERY slim choices of where to shop for food :) Walmart or Safeway for the most part :(
DeleteEven my Hubs loves smoothies. I haven't tried it with the shaklee. I get my Almond Milk (unsweetened vanilla) at Walmart and Giant Eagle. The brand I use is Silk though.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds delicious and I have been thinking about going the smoothie direction in trying to lose some weight. Thanks for this motivation.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds really yummy and filling! Thanks for the recipe. I am off to check out your protein powder! :)
ReplyDeleteThis sounds great. I like adding a little spinach to mine :)
ReplyDeleteI don't have a favorite smoothie. I haven't ever made one. I am also starting to be more aware of my diet so I may have to consider buying a good blender.
ReplyDeleteRight about now that looks soo good because it is soo hot in TX! Thanks so much for sharing with us @ My Favorite Posts SHOW OFF Weekend Blog Party!

“I love that smoothies are a great healthy meal, but they also have very little prep and clean-up time!” - Now, that about sums up the good things about smoothies. :) And another one, you can feel like a professional health advocate when you come up with healthy smoothie recipes that even children can enjoy. That sounds great, doesn't it? Haha! Anyway, I like the fact that you put some protein into this smoothie since we need that as much as we need the vitamins and nutrients fruits and veggies provide. Good job and thank you!

I see a smoothie every day in my future. Who am I kidding, two a day!
